During the "nesting" period before my first baby was born, I went and bought a bunch of stuff I thought I'd need.

While I did end up using most of it, there was a small pile of things I never had much use for; some I never even took out of its packaging!

So if you're kitting out your nursery, here are some things you might think twice about buying.

When you walk into the pram section of a large baby store, it can feel a little like walking onto a car lot.

There are oodles of different models boasting different features.

And if you're a first-time Mum, you have no idea which of these features are really important and which are just cup-holders.
